Silk Road sojourn
The Sherdar (lions) Madrassa is one of the three madrassas* of the Registan Square in Samarkand. It was completed in 1636 by the Shaybanid Emir Yalangtush as a mirror image of the Ulugh Beg Madrassa on the same square.

learning in Arabic
