Creative vandals
Graffiti was famously introduced into hip hop and rap music in the early Eighties in the US. (Remember that Vanilla Ice music video?)
Although it does carry some subversive connotations (it is a a form of
expression also popular in gangster culture and racism), graffiti
has injected 'cool' in music and sportswear.
