Non-governmental
organisations such as West
Africa AIDS Foundation (WAAF) take the burden off
the government health bodies in tackling HIV and AIDS.
For the past three years, WAAF
has been offering care, support and counselling services
to those infected, affected by and vulnerable
to HIV and related conditions through its Reproductive Sexual
Health Clinic and Information Centre in Accra.
The organisation works in partnership
with Barclays Bank, Catholic Relief Services (CRS), CIDA,
World Education, Ghana AIDS Commission and other development
partners in Ghana and around the world.
