Green
Man Gourmet
By Salina Christmas
Food is an afterthought at music festivals. Normally, you
go to music festivals to see your favourite bands, bond
with your mates over booze and drugs, and try to ignore
the appalling toilets, mud and tents by boozing and doing
drugs. You eat because you have to.
The Green
Man Festival 2007, as the name implies, was a more organic
affair. Spliff and beer were the drugs of choice, probably
because a majority of the folk music fans were retired ravers
or Generation X-ers with kids in tow.
The toilets never ran out of loo rolls.
And the food was amazing.
