The Butterfly Tree
The Butterfly Tree was founded by Jane Kaye-Bailey after a business incentive trip in March 2006 to Zambia. Upon learning the plight of 450 children orphaned through HIV/AIDS, Jane decide to set up the UK charity The Butterfly Tree and Non-Government Organisation in Zambia. At the World Travel Market held in London in November 2007, Jane Kaye-Bailey was invited as a guest speaker to talk on ‘Luxury Travel with a Conscience’ using her own example of how luxury travel does not have to be hedonistic, and how becoming a ‘philanthropic traveller’ is a far more rewarding experience that just visiting an exotic resort.
